golf courses listed below all offer pay and play facilities and
are a short drive from the apartment. These feature a range of requirements
in terms of handicap, dress and unaccompanied children.
There
are two excellent golf courses within walking distance of the apartment:
Finca
Cortesin Golf Course, the location of the Volvo
World Match Play Championships from 2009 is the next development
along from Casares del Sol and within walking distance.
Even closer, just across the road from the apartment is
Casares Costa Golf less than five minutes' walk from
the front door of the apartment to the club house.

Cortesin Golf Course This golf
course, which is the location of the Volvo World Match Play
Championships from 2009, is three minutes' drive from the apartment.
If you weren't worried about saving your energy for the golf
you could walk. At almost 7,000 meters from the back tees, it
is considered one of the longest courses in Europe . The natural
environment and landscape of Cortesin are one of its most attractive
features. |

Casares
Costa Golf is less than five minutes'
walk from the front door of the apartment to the club house
and restaurant. It is surrounded by many different types of
trees, including fruit trees such as pear, orange and avocado
trees. It has no slopes which makes it ideal for walking as
well as being entertaining for any golf player. Casares Costa
Golf claims that its 7th hole, a par five, is one of the most
difficult on the Costa del Sol. It has a narrow fairway and
150 metre lake protecting the green, making this hole a challenge
for any player. |

On the other side of the road to the Casares del Sol development,
Dona Julia is also a very short drive or you could walk. Doña
Julia has been designed and developed with the area in mind.
It is a very enjoyable course which offers views of the Mediterranean

Over 18 holes, The Alcaidesa links-type golf course overlooks
the Mediterranean with views of Gibraltar and the North African

Real Golf
Inaugurated in 1965 designer by Javier Arana, this magnificent
18-hole par 72 golf course is set in a beautiful sloping valley
with challenging greens. |

Aloha
Golf
Aloha is not a long course, except for certain holes such
as the 1st, 4th, 13th and 18th, but it needs precision and
particularly on these holes also strength. It is an strategic
course with very well placed obstacles and trees, a rough
that also complicates things and fast and slightly uneven
greens, definitely for skillful players |

Paraiso Golf Club
Situated between San Pedro de Alcántara and Estepona
at Benavista. Everywhere you look the views are magnificent,
from many holes you can see the blue of the mediterranean
and there is always the backdrop of the dramatic mountains.
Gary Player has used these natural resources brilliantly to
create one of the best designed courses on the Costa del Sol. |

Los
Flamingos
The 18-hole, 5.714 meter, par-71 course, designed by the prestigious
couse architect Antonio Garcia Garrido is characterised by its
carefully conserved landscaping, with a large variety of trees
and beautiful views of the Mediterranean. The
greens are generously sized whilst its fairways are somewhat
narrower on the front nine, where more precision playing is
required than on the back nine. The bunkers are white marmolina
sand. The fairways are sown with Bermuda, except on certain
holes where grass has been used, whilst the greens and tees
have been sown with Pencross. |

is according to the experts, a genuine test, as much for beginners
